1. Well, I turned 30, and for some reason, I still don’t feel like a grown up. Maybe 31? I don’t know. My mom and I did agree, however, that she would now call me Baby Ma’am instead of just Baby, so maybe that’ll help.
2. I decided to make today the day I’d switch my gym routine to the mornings and also the day that I STOP DRINKING BLACK TEA. Of course, as a result, I was awake until 12:45 last night worrying about said choices and totally missed the gym this morning.
Black tea sure would be nice. Sigh… Why do I even try?
3. Ryan’s dad, stepmom, sister, and brother were in town last week, which meant Ryan was off M-F and I was off W-F. You would think being off five days in a row would make you well rested and ready to go back to the real world, but you’d be wrong.
4. In the past two weeks, I’ve purchased a nightstand, a kitchen table, and three chairs to be sanded, primed, and refinished with paint colors of my choosing. I have never refinished anything in my entire life. This should be interesting.
Four things is all I’ve got.
Please tell me what you’ve been up to.

Saturday – I had my Baby Shower
Sunday – My husband’s Grad School Graduation
Monday – School and 1 Iced, Black Tea from Starbucks
Tuesday – Work and Homework…and maybe Black Tea again
That’s very exciting you had your baby shower. That must have been surreal for you. Very cool.
I am drinking black tea as we speak. I fail on the caffeine thing. Ugh.
“Well, I turned 30, and for some reason, I still don’t feel like a grown up.”
Bwahahahahahaha….this cracked me up.
I quit caffeine months ago and I still feel super tired most mornings. The first thing I ever sanded and painted was my spice rack. I am still pretty proud of it!
Who wants to be a grown up anyways?!
Having just come off an eight-day vacation, I feel your pain! Not reporting to the office for more than a week was grand. I made a concentrated effort to stay away from iPhone, email, etc., and that actually made it all the worse returning . . . I didn’t realize how desperate I was to disconnect until I did.
Also, you’re brave to quit black tea — that would be painful for me! Not as painful as forgoing my Pepsi Max, but still rough . . .
I’m sitting here drinking black tea. Failure.
